Corrugated Packaging Brings Inspiration To The Present And Future
In the corrugated packaging industry, there are few large enterprises and state-owned enterprises, and many private enterprises are scattered. During the 12th Five-Year Plan period, my country's corrugated packaging industry needs to integrate, and through various means such as enterprise integration, acquisition, and merger, some large enterprises and integrated enterprises are formed, thereby promoting the healthy development of the industry.
1. Industry entry barriers
At present, there are more than 40,000 corrugated box enterprises in my country, and more than 4,000 corrugated cardboard consumption lines, and the backward production capacity accounts for more than 60%. Since there is no entry threshold for the industry, there is a serious excess of backward production capacity, the industry concentration is low, and the low-price competition is serious. At present, 70%-80% of the production capacity of the corrugated packaging industry is concentrated in the eastern coastal areas. As soon as the central and western regions develop, the phenomenon of swarming factories has appeared again. The construction area is getting bigger and bigger, and the investment is getting bigger and bigger. If no standard is applied, the phenomenon of overcapacity in the coastal areas will be repeated in the central and western regions.
2. Backward production capacity
According to statistics, the annual production capacity of my country's corrugated packaging industry should reach 120 billion square meters. What is the actual production capacity? It is about 42 billion square meters, which is similar to that of the United States. However, the United States only has 660 companies and 720 tile lines, and tens of thousands of factories and 4,000 to 5,000 tile lines are comparable to this level of consumption. In fact, there is not a lot of investment in domestic equipment, but the starting point of selection is low, and the transformation and elimination are too frequent, and the advanced nature of production capacity is not considered when investing.
3. Normative Issues
Normative issues can be divided into two aspects, one is the paper specification. At present, the specification of packaging paper is still lacking. What kind of paper users want to use, they must use what kind of paper to consume. In this way, the enterprise has completely become the buyer of the user, and has to hoard a large amount of paper of all kinds, occupying the inventory and affecting the capital turnover. On the other hand, the specifications of the cartons are disordered and the specifications are too complex, resulting in unnecessary waste of cost and logistics costs.
Comparison between China and foreign countries
At present, the annual sales of corrugated packaging in my country has accounted for about 15% of the sales of the entire corrugated industry. It can consume more than 30 types of corrugated packaging materials in six categories, which has basically met the needs of the domestic pharmaceutical industry. But in prosperous countries, corrugated packaging accounts for 30% of the value of corrugated products, compared with less than 10% in China. Therefore, stimulated by huge demand, the next few years will be a period of rapid development of China's corrugated packaging industry.
Compared with the Chinese market, the data recently released by domestic consumption shows that the total annual consumption of paper packaging in Russia is about 5.1 million tons, occupying about 57% of the market share of the entire packaging industry. Among them, more than 65% of paper packaging is used in the food industry, followed by the pharmaceutical and chemical industry. In addition, with the advancement of packaging technology and craftsmanship, the range of paper packaging will continue to expand.
Corrugated packaging in the United Kingdom is famous for its sustainable, lightweight and renewable characteristics, and innovative technology has brought more new and efficient corrugated packaging processing plans to a wide range of users. UK First Foods is one of the beneficiaries of these new packaging. Since choosing new corrugated packaging for its food products, the company has not only saved a lot of secondary packaging costs, but also significantly improved production efficiency and packaging capabilities.
